NUS Students' Community Service Club , Part of the NUS Volunteer Network
We will be having an internal drive from 9th to 11th February 2010 and an external drive from 20th to 21st February 2010.
For the internal drive, we will be having a booth set up at various faculties to collect donations. This year, the Signatures will be on ice cream sticks where donors can leave their little declaration of love. Donors will then proceed to attach the signed ice-cream sticks to the missing link of a life-size bridge to signify the bridging of the difference between the intellectually disabled and the society.) Once the drive is concluded, these Signatures will be presented to the beneficiary.
For the external drive, we will be moving the booth out of NUS to a more patronized shopping mall where we will garner donations from the public and at the same time increase the awareness of SUN-DAC among the community outside of NUS.
For both internal and external drives, volunteers are needed to help at the booth; this is where YOU can play a part in making the lives of the intellectually disabled better.
